LOSS PREVENTION |

Our firm has extensive experience in loss prevention. Loss prevention activities for food and agricultural products include plant inspections to assess transportation risks in exportation products and review processing techniques, packaging, freezing methods, controls, material handling, proper stuffing and stowage, in order to reduce risks and eventual claims. In the same way, loading surveys for the assessment of quality parameters (including ripening condition and presence of diseases or disorders) and temperature when loading or stuffing reefer cargo (frozen foods and fresh fruits and vegetables) or dry cargo such as cacao and green coffee. We offer technical and scientific advice for exporters and lines in relation with the optimal quality/condition required for transportation of foods and best methods of packaging, palletization, stowage, temperature monitoring, and stuffing in reefer/dry containers. Also, in the special preparation of containers/holds for transportation of tropical commodities such as cacao and coffee in order to prevent condensation damage in transit and infestation claims. Venezuela is one of the most important oil exporters in the Western hemisphere. Every day, dozens of oil tankers call on the petroleum terminals. Oil spillage and pollution is an actual risk during operations and transportation and could conduct to expensive claims to the ship owner. Oil spills can have a serious economic impact on coastal activities and on those who exploit the resources of the sea, including fishermen.
